L'enzim conversiu de l'angiotensina (ECA),^[5] és una dicarbopeptidasa que conté Zn²⁺ a la seva molècula. L'ECA és produïda per diversos teixits corporals tan diversos com el sistema nerviós central, ronyons i pulmons.
